Ahh...the black cloud of puberty is settling upon my happy home! God help me, my 11 year old daughter is experiencing the first pangs of PMS and chose the ride home from her softball game to talk to me about it. Which of course, I don't mind...I've tried to instill in my children that when they want and need to talk to me, I am always ready to listen...Anyway, this was an awkward time because her 9 year old brother was in the car, too. And of course my little mouth of the south son had to put in his 2 cents worth! What a hoot. Thought the world might come to an end right there in the back seat of my car!
After I'd done my best to ease my daughters fears...who said at the time that it was all "stupid Eve's fault for eating the stupid apple!" My son started asking me questions about what's going to happen to him when he starts puberty. To which, I replied as best I could and told him if he had any more questions, to ask his dad!
Such is the summer so far...baseball and hormones.
Have an awesome day...

Great Balls of Water!!!
I read on the CBS strange news that 400,000 plastic balls were dumped into an open-air reservoir in LA for shade...oh..I had to read on!
Apparently the sunlight causes a chemical reaction with the chlorine in the water creating something called bromate which causes cancer. (The reservoir is used for drinking water).
What kind of cancer? Guess it doesn't matter...it'll all kill ya'. And does swimming in a pool cause cancer, too? Lots of chlorine in there. Or does the pee neutralize the bromate? Hmm..point to ponder. Shit! No summer fun for the kids.
And what about the chemicals used to make the balls? Won't they leach out into the water? They probably contain lead. Ha! Well, I would have used rubber duckies! Good luck with your balls people of LA!

Monday...Monday...
Had a very eventful weekend. Car died...almost...had to get a different one. I finished moving and started unpacking. My ex sent me a text message saying that it was shitty of me not to mow the lawn...seriously! I told him how shitty it was of him to cheat on me and hurt my kids. He still denied the cheating, but the proof is in his girlfriends belly...I'm glad all he has to worry about is me not mowing the lawn...LOL...I shouldn't have cleaned the house when I left. Anyway, enuff about that.
Unpacking is a monster of a chore. Almost as bad as packing! Anyone want to come help? All volunteers are welcome!

FREEDOM!
Oh, yes...I'm free! My divorce was final about 3 this afternoon. What a relief. Now I can go on to the planning of my divorce party. I'm thinking champagne, bra burning and an icecream cake from Dairy Queen! So much for that 25 pounds I've lost..lol. Wish me luck as I embark on my new life as a single woman! Watch out world, here I come...lol
Have an awesome day,
