Merry Christmas Charlie Brown....

'Tis the season for all of the Christmas cartoon specials....Yeah....the kids and I have been watching them all....I havn't seen the Grinch yet, tho. And I don't mean that live-action-Jim-Carey-atrocity either...I mean the good old standard, animated masterpiece! Ya' gotta' love it....And when I was watching Ralphie shoot his eye out with the Red Rider BB Gun...(And laughing my head off with my kids)...I noticed that this year marks the 25th anniversary of A Chrismas Story....wow....am I really that old? Ahhhh....I am. And I still love that movie. Tonight I watch my little drummer girl at her Christmas concert at school....Tomorrow I dig out of the snow and trudge to work....and I'll be thankful it's only going to be a few inches and not the blizzard of our Northern neighbors or the ice to the East....God bless you all....stay warm! and Merry Christmas!

Happy Halloween!

I love halloween. How fun it is to dress your kids up all goulish and scary then take them to beg for candy!...lol...My daughter will be wearing a long black wig and have her face painted a ghastly white with black accents...Oh...and lets not forget her bloody knife. Dusgusting child! She watched the Adams Family movies the other day and wanted to be a "homicidal maniac" like Wednesday Adams. My son, although not quite as gory will be carrying a "bloody" thing, too. He'll be wearing a devil mask and a cape. The little girl next door came over last night and she said she's going to be a princess for halloween. My daughter would make a cute princess too! Of course, There's no way I could ever talk her into that...I doubt she'd even take a bribe. She might dress her brother up as one, tho!

Speaking of my wretched almost-teenaged daughter, God bless her...I bought her 2 pairs of pants today. She'll probably hate them, too. I give! When do they grow out of this nasty little "tween" stage or whatever they call it now? There's one sitting beside me at the library right now alternately farting around on the internet and texting someone. Probably a boy. Wonder why she's not in school...hmmmmm...the little truant! She's too damn skinny, too. They probably sent her home to go eat something....Is it just me or is there a rash of these too-skinny brats running around?

Anyway, soon as school's out I'm going to take my kids to their dad's and help them get ready for some tooth-rotting fun. Then I'm running off to the big city to do some haunting of my own! lol

Have an Awesome Halloween!]

Oh, how I hate politics!

Ok...just a short note today to express my feelings on politics. I'm not voting for Obama, either...just so you know. Why? Well, I think he's an idiot. I got an email the other day that says he's the Anti-Christ. I don't know that I'd go that far... Maybe more like Robin Hood? lol He wants to take from the rich and give to the poor. Hey, I'm one of the poor. But I don't think the government should take money from others and give it to me. They take money from me now and give it to people who don't work. Helloooo...It's called wellfare. I would like to see the government cut all of their bull%&#% wasteful spending, balance the budget and cut our taxes. They should also quit bailing out banks and other financial institutions who give their CEOs multi-million dollar bonuses and hold meetings at expensive spas. Oh..that's wasteful spending...already covered that! lol What I really want is to be paid a livable wage, which I would be making if the price to buy basic necessities wasn't so damn high. Anyway...I'm voting for the republicans this time and I'm going to pray to God that we all make it through this messy world relatively unscathed! Best of luck to all....

Have an Awesome day...

WOW!

What a summer we had...Thank God school's back. If you've read some of my past blogs you alread know about my divorce in June. The kids and I are doing quite well now again...adjusted. In July we had to opportunity to visit Maine! Absolutely beautiful there. And the people are amazing. The nicest ever! And they love to talk...lol...which is, perhaps why I fit in so well. Ahhhh....but our vacation wasn't our only adventure...oh no! Just before leaving, I got divorced, got a different car..(piece of rolling doodoo!)..moved into a new house..got almost settled...had car trouble...went on vacation (1700 miles in my sister's Blazer, with my brother driving and me and the two kids in the back..yikes!)...came back...had car trouble and my landlord told me someone bought our house so we had to move again....Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...(we'd only been there 2 months! Got moved...(Fwew!)...more car trouble...failed yardsale...And finally...(dah, dah, dah)...life calms down a bit. Holy Cheese! We survived!

Good news is, I've recently started dating...This is very nice. We're taking things slow...and really having a great time just getting to know eachother.

Uh, Oh....more bad news! Damn car! If I had better insurance, I'd be tempted to push it in the river! My luck, I'd fall in after it, tho! lol...I'll take it to the mechanic tomorrow. And this too...I will survive! (Thank you Gloria Gaynor)

Ok..I don't have anything exciting to report today, but sometimes dull can be good...for a day or two anyway...just to give us a breather. I promise to add some chills and thrills to my next blog and not wait 4 month to post either! Ha...

Have an Awesome day!

Armageddon....

Ahh...the black cloud of puberty is settling upon my happy home! God help me, my 11 year old daughter is experiencing the first pangs of PMS and chose the ride home from her softball game to talk to me about it. Which of course, I don't mind...I've tried to instill in my children that when they want and need to talk to me, I am always ready to listen...Anyway, this was an awkward time because her 9 year old brother was in the car, too. And of course my little mouth of the south son had to put in his 2 cents worth! What a hoot. Thought the world might come to an end right there in the back seat of my car!

After I'd done my best to ease my daughters fears...who said at the time that it was all "stupid Eve's fault for eating the stupid apple!" My son started asking me questions about what's going to happen to him when he starts puberty. To which, I replied as best I could and told him if he had any more questions, to ask his dad!

Such is the summer so far...baseball and hormones.

Have an awesome day...

Great Balls of Water!!!

I read on the CBS strange news that 400,000 plastic balls were dumped into an open-air reservoir in LA for shade...oh..I had to read on!

Apparently the sunlight causes a chemical reaction with the chlorine in the water creating something called bromate which causes cancer. (The reservoir is used for drinking water).

What kind of cancer? Guess it doesn't matter...it'll all kill ya'. And does swimming in a pool cause cancer, too? Lots of chlorine in there. Or does the pee neutralize the bromate? Hmm..point to ponder. Shit! No summer fun for the kids.

And what about the chemicals used to make the balls? Won't they leach out into the water? They probably contain lead. Ha! Well, I would have used rubber duckies! Good luck with your balls people of LA!

Have an awesome day,

Monday...Monday...

Had a very eventful weekend. Car died...almost...had to get a different one. I finished moving and started unpacking. My ex sent me a text message saying that it was shitty of me not to mow the lawn...seriously! I told him how shitty it was of him to cheat on me and hurt my kids. He still denied the cheating, but the proof is in his girlfriends belly...I'm glad all he has to worry about is me not mowing the lawn...LOL...I shouldn't have cleaned the house when I left. Anyway, enuff about that.

Unpacking is a monster of a chore. Almost as bad as packing! Anyone want to come help? All volunteers are welcome!

Have an awesome day...
